Australian shares are poised to rise in line with Wall Street as investors shrugged off weak jobs data amid hopes for a sustained economic recovery in America.
ASX 200 futures are pointing up 0.4 per cent, or 28 points, predicting the index could beat Tuesday’s two-month high.
In the US, investors looked past a slew of economic data to send the S&P 500 to its best six-day advance since 2022, rising around 8 per cent over that time, helped by a fall in the 10-year Treasury yield to 4.17 per cent. All three Wall Street indices closed higher.
