What’s your take on investing in small caps amid the latest news on tariffs? Any changes to your investments?
We haven’t tried to pick the likely outcome of the US tariffs, we’ve just been opportunistic in buying companies where we see long-term structural growth that has been mispriced. We like volatility as it tends to throw up wonderful opportunities if you’re not so concerned about short-term returns. The fund consistently outperforms in down markets which also gives us the firepower to buy beaten-up stocks when markets fall and benefit from the eventual recovery.
