Tech billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes’ private company has voted against AGL Energy’s latest climate plan, exposing the rift between the giant electricity supplier’s top management and its biggest shareholder over the pace of its action to cut emissions.
Grok Ventures, which owns about 10.4 per cent of AGL, slammed the 2025 plan as including an “only incremental” increase in ambitions from the 2022 version and being out of step with Paris climate goals.
