The sudden departure of Santos chief financial officer Sherry Duhe has cemented the view that longstanding chief executive Kevin Gallagher will be around for the long haul, despite lingering investor disappointment about last month’s collapse of a $36 billion takeover proposal.
Duhe’s surprise exit after just one year in the job has raised questions about succession planning at the nation’s second-largest oil and gas group, given the earlier exit of several senior executives.
