The country’s largest superannuation funds are working on a plan to share intel on suspicious criminal activity and tackle the threat of damaging cyberattacks, after a chaotic incident earlier this year in which retirees were robbed of their life savings.
The major piece of work under way within the $4.3 trillion sector involves creating a real-time and secure information-sharing platform, according to people with knowledge of the plan who are unauthorised to speak publicly.
