Beach Energy chief executive Brett Woods says the company is keen to invest alongside Santos in the long-stalled $3.6 billion Narrabri gas project in NSW to solve the nation’s east coast gas shortage, as it progresses other substantial exploration and power generation plans.
Beach, the country’s third-largest oil and gas producer that is backed by billionaire Kerry Stokes, is interested in investing in Narrabri on the right terms. Beach already works closely with Santos in the Cooper Basin gas province in northern South Australia.
