The Australian dollar should be flying high, buoyed by a strong economy and talk of interest rate rises next year when other countries including the US are still in easing mode.
Instead, it is stuck trading about US65¢, defying strategists’ expectations and behaving more like a tired commuter than a currency ready to rally.
