APA hatches plan for major expansion of Victorian gas pipeline network

APA Group is working on a near-$200 million expansion of a major gas pipeline in south-west Victoria as part of a broader plan to expand its extensive grid in the eastern states and head off the need for LNG imports.

However, the 18 per cent increase in capacity will still be insufficient to deliver all the gas produced in the west of the state, even before any imports.
