ASX to fall; Cettire swings to loss, Austal profit up 503pc

Australian share futures are pointing to a lower open on the final day of the latest reporting season. However, shares rallied in New York lifting the S&P 500 to a record high above 6500 after the US economy expanded at revised 3.3 per cent pace in the second quarter.

The benchmark was 0.3 per cent higher at 6501.86; it reached as high as 6508.23. Communication services led seven of the 11 industry sectors higher.
