Australian shares are poised to edge lower at the open. Shares were modestly lower in New York, paced by the energy sector and lingering tech weakness.
Morgan Stanley’s Michael Wilson said risks persist for US equities given concerns that the Federal Reserve “may not be doing enough … yet”.
“While there’s some buy-in from market participants on our ‘run it hot’ and ‘hotter but shorter’ theses, sentiment and positioning remain muted in the areas of the market most positively levered to the significant rebound in nominal earnings growth we see next year,” Wilson said in a note.
