South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas has made his feelings clear about Santos.
On the morning that the gangbuster $36.4 billion bid for the oil and gas giant was announced in June, Mali put out a statement effectively reminding UAE-based consortium ADNOC that his government would prioritise jobs in the state and ensure the company remaining headquartered in Adelaide. He would have to approve any change in ownership, which he described (bullishly) as “leverage”.
