Telstra chief executive Vicki Brady has questioned the achievability of the Albanese government’s goal for 82 per cent of electricity to come from renewable energy by 2030, days before Labor is set to release a new and more ambitious climate plan.
Brady said Telstra was on track to achieve renewable energy generation equivalent to 100 per cent of its annual consumption by the end of this year through $1.6 billion of purchases of renewables such as wind and solar.
