The Australian sharemarket is poised to rise, tracking gains for US equities as traders digested the impact of a flurry of measures President Donald Trump signed off on in his first day back in the White House.
ASX futures rose 21 points or 0.3 per cent after 7am AEDT, extending an advance in Tuesday’s session. The Australian dollar slipped further by 0.1 per cent overnight to trade at US62.66¢.
