Australian shares are poised to edge up at the start of trade despite US equities turning modestly lower as technology stocks declined.
ASX futures were up 12 points or 0.1 per cent to 8310 near 7.15am. Overnight on Wall Street, the tech-heavy Nasdaq was down 0.9 per cent.
