Australian shares are poised to fall in line with a mixed end to 2024 trading in Europe and mostly modest losses in New York. Trading volume is expected to be subdued at least until next week.
US stock futures were modestly lower, while Asian futures were mixed in a narrow range. Overseas markets were mostly closed to mark January 1st.
