Orora says earnings from its major Saverglass division will be up to a third lower than expected, and stop production at a facility in the UAE as it adjusts to the fallout from six weeks of war in the Middle East.
The Ras al Khaimah plant represents about 15 per cent of Saverglass’ capacity, with production shifting to Mexico after the conflict closed shipping routes and made alternative overland routes inaccessible.
