Household power prices are set to fall across most of Australia from July after record output from wind farms and batteries pushed down the cost of generating electricity, despite pressures on global energy prices due to the Iran war.
Benchmark power prices will fall by up to 10.7 per cent across NSW, Queensland and South Australia under the energy regulator’s annual power price ruling, known as the Default Market Offer.
