Australian shares are set to open lower, in line with losses on Wall Street amid renewed hostilities in the Middle East after Iran attacked Kuwait with drone strikes.
The attacks killed one person and injured about 60 others at Kuwait’s main airport, which was temporarily closed. Kuwait’s Defence Ministry said it destroyed over a dozen missiles and a similar number of drones from Iran.
