Alphabet — Shares fell more than 4% after the company raised its capital expenditures forecast for 2026 to a range of $195 billion to $205 billion, pointing to artificial intelligence demand. Separately, Alphabet posted revenue of $119.8 billion in the fiscal second quarter, topping expectations of $116.93 billion, according to LSEG.
Rollins — The pest control company dropped about 10% after second quarter results fell short of Wall Street’s expectations. Rollins posted earnings of 30 cents per share on revenue of $1.08 billion, while the FactSet consensus called for 34 cents a share and $1.09 billion in revenue. Management pointed to slower growth in parts Rollins’ residential pest control business as a factor in the results.
