ASX chief executive Helen Lofthouse says she has given up her entire annual bonus to show she is taking accountability for the embattled market operator’s regulatory and operational failures, but is determined to steer the company through the turbulence and repair its reputation.
Lofthouse is not the only executive to see her take-home pay cut, with the board slashing the bonus pool by half to appease angry investors after the exchange was hit with a strike against pay at its annual meeting last year.
