Australian share futures are pointing to a modest opening advance. Shares closed higher in New York as oil pared an earlier advance above $US110 a barrel despite heightening rhetoric between the US and Iran.
ASX 200 futures were up 5 points or 0.1 per cent to 8614. The S&P 500 closed 0.4 per cent higher.
US military planners are preparing a list of new targets to hit in Iran as President Donald Trump’s self-imposed Tuesday (Wednesday AEST) deadline for the Strait of Hormuz to be reopened nears.
