ASX publishing outage leads to market chaos and investor angst

An embarrassing failure of the ASX’s publishing system left several stocks unable to trade for much of the day and the embattled sharemarket operator scrambling to identify and fix the cause of the hours-long outage.

The outage is the latest in a spate of bungles for the ASX, as its ability to run key financial markets infrastructure and oversee technology and operational governance has been seriously questioned.
