ASX to fall, Wall St rallies

Australian shares are poised to open lower. All three major US stock benchmarks closed higher, with both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite advancing at least 1 per cent, paced by tech stocks.

Tesla rose 4 per cent in after-hours trading after releasing its latest quarter results. Boeing leapt 5.5 per cent. Apple, Amazon and Microsoft closed at least 2 per cent higher. Atlassian rose 3.9 per cent.
