Overview

Aurizon rejected offers for minority stakes in its Queensland rail network because the company believes investors will reap higher returns by retaining it.

The company is keeping its existing integrated model, which includes the 2670-kilometre Central Queensland coal network, after an extensive review that considered whether to sell a minority stake of up to 49 per cent or de-merge the network.
