AustralianSuper has dumped nearly $1 billion in investments from its ESG-focused portfolio including stakes in more than 180 listed companies after cutting fossil fuels, armaments and other industries it saw as harmful.
The removal of the stocks from country’s largest retirement investment fund’s so-called socially aware portfolio, revealed in new disclosures, detail how the policy shift in August affected its investment decisions.
