Resources funds may have dominated the list of top-performing equity portfolios last year, but a lesser known strategy that claims to invest in future champions has burst onto the scene, trouncing nearly all of its rivals.
Tectonic Investment Management’s Opportunities Fund returned a whopping 146.4 per cent last year, earning it a podium finish in Fund Monitors’ rankings of Australia best performing equity funds. That compares to a 6.8 per cent gain by the S&P/ASX 200.
