Investment firm takes pole position in Supercars team deal

Prime Financial Group has bought a majority stake in a V8 Supercars team, the latest sign of the accelerating interest in sport from investment firms.

Tickford Racing competes in the Supercars Championship, Australia’s top professional car racing series, and is owned by Rod Nash. Altor Capital, a subsidiary of ASX-listed Prime, has purchased a controlling stake for about $16 million.
