ARN Media investors have delivered a stunning rebuke to the company behind the KIIS and Pure Gold radio networks, with 90 per cent voting against its executive pay amid a steeply sliding share price and a high-stakes lawsuit brought by ex-hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson.
In a result that ranks among the top protest votes in Australian corporate history, ARN’s concentrated group of investors overwhelmingly voted down new chief executive Michael Stephenson’s $1.1 million salary package at the company’s annual meeting on Thursday morning.
