Meet the US investor who sold his stake in ‘Despacito’ to an ASX fund

It’s not often that pop bangers come up in conversation in the world of financial markets, but Erik Serrano Berntsen is not your typical investor.

The New York-based head of Stable Asset Management visited Australia last week to complete a $US195 million ($270 million) deal with ASX-listed Navigator Global Investments, a $1.2 billion alternative asset manager run by former Macquarie banker Stephen Darke.
