The country’s largest operator of tollroads has reported slowing growth on some of its major motorways as the conflict in the Middle East sends the price of petrol soaring and pushes drivers toward public transport.
In a bid to salve investor concerns about the impact on its business, Transurban published quarterly traffic data a week ahead of schedule, showing the average number of daily trips rising 3 per cent to 2.5 million.
