Retail investors at risk as they pile into ASX’s hottest stocks

Retail investors have been chasing the sharemarket rally that has pushed the ASX to record levels, snapping up some of Australia’s hottest stocks in the September quarter including DroneShield and some of the lithium producers.

But in a similar vein to punters lining up for hours outside ABC Bullion in Sydney to buy up physical gold as the price of the precious metal keeps pushing higher, fund managers warn that retail investors are also buying stocks at the top of the market.
