Overview

Santos will ship the first cargo of LNG from its $6.1 billion Barossa gas project in the Timor Sea in the coming days after the company said it had resolved issues with key infrastructure that had threatened further delays to the long-awaited development.

Gas from Barossa, about 300 kilometres off the coast of Darwin, began to flow in September, but connection failures in two pipeline systems prompted a delay of about two months, the company told investors in a quarterly update on Thursday.
