Chipmakers — Semiconductors were volatile Monday as investors rotated money between the sector and the rest of the market. The VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) was last up 2.5% after falling as much as 3.1%. Shares of Nvidia traded 0.6%, recovering from a 1.4% slide. Micron shares pared earlier losses, trading 2% lower.

TopBuild — The insulation and building materials maker’s stock dropped 12% to start the week, putting it on pace for its worst day since March 2020. The move comes as investors brace for TopBuild to be acquired by QXO. The deal was announced in April.
