The foxes that raided public markets are needed to restock them

The great irony of Australia’s shrinking ASX problem is that the private-equity foxes are now in charge of the IPO henhouse.

The same funds that have been picking meaningful business off the ASX for years – Bain Capital, TPG Capital etc – and contributing to the shrinking ASX, are now Australia’s best bet for restocking listed equity capital markets.
