Two heads better than one in the new investment banking war

Not long ago, having investment banking co-heads was seen as the most vicious of corporate hunger games: make ambitious rainmakers try to fit two big egos into the one job, and stand back and watch to see who comes out on top.

But investment banking has changed. Teams are smaller, resources are thinner, good senior sector bankers are scarce, and there are fewer jobs for old-timers who no longer have their feet on the accelerator.
